Retreat Concluded

The Boho Beach Experience

Inch Hideaway, East Cork

Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd September 2023

Gather your friends for one more fun-filled weekend at the beach before summer ends, and autumn kicks in for real! There's so much fun to be had in this setting.

Below you'll find all the details of this great weekend retreat, and if you'd like to sign up please click the book now button above to pay the deposit of €50 and I will then reach out to you to confirm. As you'll see below, prices depend on how many people will be sharing the yurts so please indicate which price option you are interested in availing of and I'll do my best to accommodate you.

What happens on the retreat?

I’ll start and end each day with nourishing yoga sessions to suit the mood. Then there’s the Saturday surf lesson with Swell Surf School - this is so much fun, and I love to see how delighted my retreaters are when they give this a go. On Saturday night this year, we’ll be treated to an Ecstatic Dance session with the fabulous Jeanie Jyanti from Alchemy School of Yoga. Then we’ll round up the weekend on Sunday with a blissfully chilled beach/cliff walk and meditation.
You can also book a therapeutic massage, and craneosacral therapies. These will be charged separately and payable directly to the providers.

What accommodation is available?

There are two yurts that would suit groups of 4 people. Two yurts that will sleep 3 people in each. And two yurts better suited for just 2 people. There is also the fabulous Wanderly Wagon. This is a converted double-decker bus and is the only accommodation at the Hideaway to have its own ensuite toilet and shower, along with its own kitchen. Please note that there are steep ladders to the the bedrooms in the Wanderly Wagon, so not suitable for anyone with a fear of heights or mobility issues.

How much does it cost?

This year, as prices at the venue have increased, I have created a sliding scale of options which I hope will suit all wallets. Prices are per person sharing. This includes accommodation, all meals from Friday evening to Sunday lunch, surf hire and instruction, Jeanie’s Ecstatic Dance and all your yoga and meditation classes.

A deposit of €50 (non-refundable) will secure your place (balance to be paid by 19 August 2020).

----------------------------
Single occupancy in the Wanderly Wagon (ensuite) €550.

----------------------------
Twin / Double occupancy in the Wanderly Wagon (ensuite) €480 per person.

----------------------------
Two-person Yurt: €450 per person.

----------------------------
Three-person Yurt: €385 per person.

----------------------------
Four-person Yurt: €340 per person

Where do you stay?

We'll be sleeping in yurts, which is as close to sleeping in nature as is possible while staying warm and cosy. With proper comfy beds and bedding, heaters or wood-burning stoves and shared hot showers, it's certainly more glamping than camping, so don't be afraid. Like camping though, toilets are mostly shared and a little trip in the open air to get to (some yurts have their own toilet adjacent).
Food is fresh and locally sourced, often even grown in the garden of the Hideaway itself. Colleen and Fabrizio are super creative cooks and always pour so much love into what they serve us - amazing, delicious, healthy vegetarian food. If the weather permits (and it usually does), we might even be treated to proper Italian freshly made wood-fired pizza, eaten outdoors around the fire pit - ah heaven!

More details on the venue.

How many will attend?

There is a maximum 18 places on this retreat.

What People Say About This Retreat

Mairead, September 2018 & 2022

“I would highly recommend Kate's Inch yoga retreat. From the start I was made to feel welcome. I attended alone but never felt misplaced or 'odd man out'. Kate is good at keeping the group atmosphere friendly and communal. Our yoga practices were challenging but not too much.  The venue is interesting and almost magical when the sun shines, with its accommodation yurts, rustic kitchen with open breakfast dining and large space for yoga practice and evening meal. I liked the fact that the lovely hosts are promoting an environmentally friendly conscious space to stay for the weekend. The food was vegetarian, lovely and plentiful. The yurts are warm, clean and comfortable. Our hosts have lovely pet animals such as the two dogs including the three legged beauty, the hens, the pig and two horses. The icing on the cake is the meditative walk, surf lesson and beach side sauna. Would highly recommend this yoga retreat."
